New Mexico State Legislature to Vote on Corporal Punishment in Schools

The New Mexico state legislature is considering whether toban corporal punishment in the state’s schools.

Legislators need to hear from parents and communitymembers. Elev8 supports banning this out-dated, ineffective punishment! 

Please call legislative leaders today and tell them you support the effort to ban corporal punishment.   

Callthe office of SenatorMichael Sanchez at 505-986-4727 – Leave a message with hisreceptionist asking for him to support the ban on corporal punishment (SenateBill 319). 

Then,call the office of SpeakerBen Lujan at 505-986-4782 – Leave a message with his receptionist asking for him to support the ban on corporal punishment (House Bill 172).
