The Obama Administration will host a National Youth Summit on Saturday, February 26, 2011, in Washington, DC. The purpose of the summit will be to galvanize young people to brainstorm and contribute to strategies to provide pathways for all youth to be on track to achieve high school and postsecondary credentials.

The summit will give young people the opportunity to give input and communicate their views and ideas directly to senior administration officials. It will also provide a forum for students to plan ongoing youth-led, youth-directed efforts which will continue after the summit. The day-long event  will include workshops, music, entertainment, and dialogues on key issues that were raised during President Obama's National Youth Listening Tour, including high quality teaching, mentors, school climate, family/parent engagement, and the college access/completion information gap.
