Communities for Change Leadership Symposium

Elev8 evaluator Meridith Polin will present at the national Communities for Change Leadership Symposium, being held in Houston on Oct. 10 and 11. Sponsored by nFocus Solutions in partnership with Search Institute, the symposium will focus on "successes, lessons learned and opportunities to better bridge the achievement gap through integrated school and community partnerships."

Ms. Polin will facilitate a session on community-wide data collection, reporting, analysis and action. Other sessions will cover such topics as "chronic absence and improving early grade attendance for better academic outcomes," "assessing student needs outside the classroom," and "federal resources that support community school and community integration."
